Rodeo Day At School

The other day was rodeo day at the kids school. We waited until the night before to try to come up with the kids western outfits. Well Elias was more like a rich dressy cowboy...but he was happy with the idea. Eliana wore a dress I made her way back in the 1st grade for her rodeo day at school. So I had to post both pictures to show how much she has grown since the 1st grade. :(

Eliana as Juliette Gordon Low

Well Eliana has been wanting so badly to be able to be a part of what they call the living museum which they have every year at open house for the 5th graders at her school. I know it was very exciting for her to play the role of Juliette Gordon Low the founder of the Girl Scouts of America. We were thrilled to be able to borrow an official Girl Scout uniform which could have dated back as far as the 30's it was so cool to have it for her special night. Eliana worked very hard and made a 100 on this project. We are so very proud of her for all of her hard work.Way to go baby girl!!!!

Ethan turns one

Well here are some pictures and video of Ethan digging into his homemade chocolate birthday cake. It was so funny to watch him go after it...I just knew he was going to get sick. However he didn't and slept like a rock that night. I also included how cute he was after his much needed bath. He enjoyed his balloons and his new couch he got for his birthday!!! He love to just jump up and dive on it.

Ethaniel's 1st Birthday Dinner At Olive Garden

Well we decided to take Mr.Tripp to our favorite family restaurant on his 1st Birthday. It was a little on the sad side not to have any family or friends around to celebrate with us on such a special day..worse was his daddy not being able to get home in time from Bratislava. However we made the most of it by going to the Olive Garden. All the kids ate very well and did a good job of behaving for me. When I asked the waiter to sing Happy Birthday he told me that corporate had banned the loud singing from the waitersdue to getting complaints...I thought how sad now we even miss out on his birthday song. Plus how sad that people are so mean that they have a problem with others celebrating a special event like a birthday. Well as I always do..I got my way and they sang Ethan the traditional Olive Garden Birthday song after all. We really missed you daddy :(
