All Packed Up!

We are all packed up and will be leaving for San Diego to catch our flight and drop off the carto be shipped over. We will head out on Wed. afternoon because we still need to clean the house and get an inspection completed on the house.I will not miss Yuma for even a second, but will dearly miss the sweet and wonderful friends God blessed us with while we where stuck out in the desert. I hope and pray we get stationed together again..just somewhere a little nicer...lol. This week we made one of the hardest choices I have had to make in a very long time. We found our wonderful wiener dog Buster a new home. I was so sad and upset,we had him for 7years.I loved that dog far more than any other dog I have ever had. He was the best family dog you could ever hope for. However he was getting a little older and had major separation issues.I really worried he would not make such a long hard move to Africa. So we all prayed as a family to bring a family for pur sweet Mr. Buster. Against my will I posted a ad on craigslist and the same night we got a call from a very sweet family with 3 little girls. We meet them the next day and long story short Buster has a new home.God brought complete peace about this being the family, however it still hurts and I miss him dearly. I think I miss him even more than the kids. They seem to be doing really well about it.So now we just have Jewels the little wiener dog. We plan to take her with us on the plane however we are asking for big time prayer...the airlines is not going to put her on the plane if the weather is not cool enough. So we will be stuck and in a complete panic !!! Please pray for cool weather in San Diego Ca, and Dallas TX for Friday the 4th. I believe in the power of prayer and know God can make it snow if he wants. We will just settle for 85 degrees..lol. So please remember to prayer for the weather and for the trip in general. We are very excited just worried about some of the many task at hand. Well I guess I better get back to work. I will give a update if I get Internet access. God Bless :)P.S. Michelle I listened to your play list the entire time I blogged this post...thanks for the blessing. Really needed to hear it...brought such peace. :)

Tunisa

I wanted to post this neat video showing some about Tunisa. It looks amazing and I feel myself getting more excited. We are having the movers come pack us up on the 1st of Sept.. Then we head off to San Diego to take our car to be shipped. We will not see the car for about 2 months after we arrive. I am a bit on edge about flying that far as I have not been on a airplane for many years. The kids have NEVER been on a plane so it should be an interesting flight...lol. Right now I am just sitting around being lazy until hubby gets back from Germany next week. Then it is going to be go time..I hope It goes as smooth as it can. Thank God I have been very blessed to be feeling very well with this pregnancy.

Sand Storm

I just wanted to post the pictures from our nasty sand storm we had last week. It was really windy and really dirty from the sand flying around. The bonus was a little bit of rain...which is a big deal here in the desert...lol

Creative Fun

We have had to come up with some creative fun to beat the summer time boredom. The other day I helped Eliana dress up in my little black dress...I posted a picture of me in the same dress just because I think it is funny how we both look in the same dress. We were pretending she was a famous movie star and she is giving me interviews. I love how funny she is...she is such a star to us.

Elias begged me to do the bungee jump thing at the mall back home in Tx. It was pretty cute to watch so I took some photos and video to post. Enjoy! :)

Trip back home to Tx

Well it was a really long and hot trip which took around 35hrs to drive. I had never drove more than 4 hrs in my life. So this trip all by myself with the kids and dogs was a HUGE thing for me to do. I feel proud that I pulled it off but will never drive that far again by myself unless I truly have to. We stayed first with my sister in Austin. With a house full of kids and dogs it was quite the adventure. The kids loved spending time with each other. The weather was very hot so we mostly stuck with indoor activities. The book store was one fun trip we took...the kids love books. Ice cream at Basket Robins was a nice cool treat. I also drove another 3 hrs from Austin to Houston with all the kids minus my little nephew. There we sent time with my aunt and uncle. The kids got to go to the zoo and play barbies with my aunt. We were also treated to yummy brisket...which was worth the 4hr drive. I took Eliana and her best friend from back home to this huge pizza place. It was so cute to see them together again it was like they started off right where they left off over a year ago. Let's see we also did some rescue work and helped 2 little doggies find their home after they were wandering the streets. My cousin had us over to her house to stay for a few days and we had fun swimming over at her pool. Then we headed back to Austin stayed a few more days.Had a mini-birthday party for the kids because they will miss each others birthdays for quite some time. We feel blessed to have been able to see our friends and family. It was hard to depart as this may be the last time we see them for around 3 years. Thanks to all of my family for opening up your homes to us.

I know he is so proud to be a part of the Marines and is especially thrilled to have the honor of Gunny. I will post pictures from the ceremony once Philip e-mails me them. Congrats babe we are so proud of all you do!!!
