Going to be an aunt a 3rd time...

My sister told me she is prego with her 3rd child and it was a complete surprise! We are so thrilled for them. It is funny for her to be the one to have the 3rd child before us. We have always been pregnant before them. It makes for a neat change of pace. Now she will be able to give me 3rd child advice if we ever have another baby. Right now we have baby making plans on the back burner due to us moving out of the country in the very near future...on that note our leaving has been bumped up by about 2 months. Philip was scheduled to go to school in Aug, but will now be leaving in 26 days. So we are crazy busy trying to get eveything in order. This will also effect our plans for the summer trips we had planned. I guess I will have to drive back home to TX all by myself. Yikes!! That sounds like a big pain...I hate to drive!! Add to 2 kids and 2 wiener dogs and the idea scares me. Well a girls got to do what a girls gotta do :)

My Super Short Hair

Well I got my hair chopped off yesterday...I like it but there are a few crazy hairs that are too short and stick up silly!!! I had to go shorter than the wanted style to get rid of the curly perm hairs. So after a week or two I think the hair will look a little better. I think instead of going all red. I will condition my hair a little longer and then go get blonde highlights. It will make my hair lighter and I think it will add some extra flair to the hair cut. Andy likes it as long as I like it and don't complain...lol. It is super short in the back...like a guys hair. I just don't look at the back. I do however feel the need to wear really girly clothes. I also think it makes my neck look so long...which looks a little strange. Overall I think it looks okay and I was able to cut off most of the damaged hair from the perm.

Short Hair

I feel silly about blogging about my hair yet again...but not much more on my mind right now. There are so many things just up in the air. My good friend summed it up pretty well the other day"she said it's like I'm living on hold waiting to see whats coming down the road. Which is true..I have finally just had to give it all over to God because the trying to make plans for the future and the worry of which country we will be "maybe moving" to in Sept. is just to much!!!! So for now I will just worry about my hair...lol. I so want to cut it all off...there is good reason to do this. It is super hot here in the 100's so less hair the cooler I stay. I want to go back red...but need healthy hair to dye. So what am I so scared for? It's not like am on Americas next top model or anything. I wanted to post pictures of the hair style I think I will be going with...let me know what you think? Unless you think long hair looks best...lol just kidding. i think however I will go even a little shorter in the front,but not much shorter.

The 80's are back

I love how the 80's fashion is back in style. The neon colors and all the funky big jewelry. I hate that I am too old to be wearing all the cool 80's stuff....life can be so unfair. So I guess I will just have to have fun dressing Eliana in the 80's style. Philip told me yesterday that some younger guy he works with is special ordering some Reebok pump shoes...does anyone remember them from way back in the day?? I totally thought they were so cool remember the little thing on the tongue of the shoe you would pump up with air...did it really even do anything? I just hope the big bangs come back...lol

Easter 2009

We had a very wonderful Easter this year, the weather was perfect. We went to church and then enjoyed a barbecue lunch which was provided by the church. After stuffing ourselves we came home and relaxed. Later that afternoon we were treated yet again to dinner at our friends. I love days where you don't have to think about what you are going to fix for lunch or dinner. I felt very spoiled to not have to cook at all that day!

Project Update

I have been working on the armoire little by little. This is what I have done so far. I have one of the sides painted with the zebra print with one more zebra side to go. I was going to go buy more paint and then I just decided I wanted to keep cost down low. So I just used the paints we already had. I have the 2 front doors almost all the way done. The one door looks darker in the picture but is a royal purple. I think it will take me the rest of this month and I will have it done. It is turning out pretty good...I know that I am my worse critic. I just had to remember it's got character.

My hair!

So I have nothing great to blog about so you can read about my silly hair. As most know I tried to perm my own hair and fried it horribly. I thought I was going to never be able to leave the house...that was 2 days before Valentine's Day. I have been trying to repair my hair with deep conditioners and limiting how often I shampoo..it really has helped. I went and got a hair cut to get most of the damaged hair cut off. Then I decided along with my hubby that I truly do like my hair red over my natural dark color. So last night I tried to dye my hair red. I was so scared that it was going to damage my hair. Funny enough I rinsed it out way to early and the color really did not take. I was just scared to leave it in. In the past I use to leave the dye in for like an hour.So me getting back to red will be a work in progress. I wanted to post a picture of my new hair cut. I love how easy short hair is to deal with. I must hot iron ever single inch of hair, due to the bad perm. I would love to have long hair again but don't think it will ever happen"short hair is just to easy".

Fun weekend!

Wanted to post a few pictures from our fun family weekend. The Marines held a Easter egg hunt for the kids on Saturday so we took the kids. The weather was so beautiful the entire day. I must say that Yuma weather is great...that is until the heat starts and you have to stay indoors for 3 months straight. However we will enjoy it until the time comes to stay indoors. The kids got their picture with the Easter bunny. It was so cool because it has been so long since they had a picture taken with the bunny. I just forget almost every Easter??Then we decided to break down and go to the fair. I had already made up my mind that we would not go due to the high cost of the fair. However it is really hard when you must drive past it everyday...and we were really wanting to enjoy the weather. So we went and had a pretty good time...Elias was so sweet he won a pretty pink unicorn for his sister.
